The Pax 2 Vaporizer by Ploom is the new and improved model of its predecessor the Pax it boosts I quote ‘a new sleek design and features with up to 30% more battery life, a deeper , stainless steel blends chamber with improved, even heating to produce optimal vapor. Despite the enhanced design the PAX 2 is 25% smaller and 10% lighter than the original PAX vaporizer’ it also features an extra temperature setting that gives a wider heat range from 180c to 215c and has a motion sensor to that will put it in standby mode when it is not in use.
One of most desirable features with the Pax series is the sleek portable design, and has been called the Apple iphone of Vaporizers. The Pax 2 doesn’t resemble the look of a Vaporizer, it looks more like an mp3 player and the untrained eye would struggle to guess what it really is. The Dimensions of this Sleek Vape are 9.8cm x 3cm x 2.1cm and weighing just 90 grams, Sleek indeed! The Pax 2 really is what I would call a portable vaporizer as the size of this vape allows it to fit into your pocket very easily and gives you the abilty to carry it wherever you go, a True Vaporizer for someone looking for vapor on the move! The Pax takes around a minute to heat up which is pretty good and to top it off it is simple to clean, this was one of the drawbacks of the original Pax but Ploom seem to have got it right with this one.
The Battery life on this one gives around an hour and half of use which really is good considering the size of the Pax2 and it also has the ability of being charged via a micro usb which is a great feature making it very versatile indeed although it does take longer to fully charge this way compared to the magnetic charging dock supplied.
Vapor Quality from this vaporizer is extremely surprising for its petite size. Overall the vapor comes smooth but can get a little harsh on the higher settings, the draw on the Pax 2 could be better and in my opinion there are better vapes available in terms of draw as it isn’t on par with others I have used I found the Gaboof Alpha and the Arizer Air to outperform the Pax 2 in performance however the Pax 2 has some features that are absent on these models such as stealth, sleekness and style. Again comparing the vape to a phone in my opinion a good android phone outperforms the apple ones but some people don’t care for the slight edge they have in that department and prefer the build quality and design apple bring to the table this is similar to what ploom have brought to the vaporizer market.
